I heard Mahalia Jackson sing this on a Duke Ellington record-The Black,Brown and Beige Suite, and though it would be a good tune for the bottleneck guitar.
A live track with Ethel Lee from a gig in Springfield Massachusetts.
Jazz guitar from California.Recorded at Scenic Sound Studios
I recorded this at Konk Studios in London in 1990.Terry Mann on bass and Mick Avory on drums. It was a great thrill to record in the same studio that The Kinks recorded all their records. That's Dave Davies Marshall amp that I'm playing through on this track.
Another from Konk with Terry Mann on vocals and bass. Mick Avory on drums. This was my working band at that time.(1990-1995)
I wrote this in Amsterdam in 1994.It was recorded on a 16 track machine and recorded in some funky basement studio in Amsterdam Oost.Sonny Willis on bass and J.J.Juliano on drums.
This is a demo of a song that I did with Garage Band. It's not as funky as I'd like it, but I like the guitar line.
